Taking store launches and automation projects this quarter

I launch stores and conversion websites on a platform I built, then automate the rest.

Not a freelancer and not a template shop. A Siliguri studio building D2C stores and conversion websites for the Northeast, the rest of India and remote clients, on AiMonk, the ecommerce platform I own. AI is how custom work fits budgets that usually only buy a theme.

01About

A studio that owns the commerce stack.

Founder of AiMonk, the platform the stores run on. A studio in Siliguri selling productized work to the Northeast, India and remote clients, not hourly freelance.

I do not sell freelance gigs or template installs. I run a commerce studio from Siliguri, the corridor town that connects the Northeast to the rest of India, building conversion websites, D2C store launches and WhatsApp automation for a region most studios never quote for. Selling from here has its own problems — what a build in Siliguri actually involves.

Most agencies resell Shopify or WordPress. I own the infrastructure. Stores run on AiMonk, the multi-tenant platform I built for Indian payments, COD, GST and shipping, so a brand in Siliguri or Gangtok gets the same stack as a D2C founder in Pune or an operator abroad.

AI is not the pitch, it is the reason the maths works. It compresses the build, so a business in a tier-two market can afford custom commerce instead of settling for a theme, and so the follow-up keeps running long after launch.

02Services

Three offers. Not a freelance menu.

Productized work a business can buy: a store on the platform I built, a conversion site, or a WhatsApp sales desk. Scope is fixed so delivery stays fast, and every project is quoted against it. Each one is argued in full on its own page.

  • 013–5 weeks

D2C / Instagram store on AiMonk

Reels and DMs become a branded store: catalogue, UPI, COD, GST invoice, shipping, WhatsApp follow-up. Deployed on the platform I built, not a generic theme.

    • Template + brand setup
    • Razorpay / COD
    • Shiprocket or Delhivery
    • WhatsApp order path

A live Indian store you own, with orders in one admin.

What moves off Instagram, and what stays
  • 022–4 weeks

    Conversion website

A high-craft marketing or personal-brand site for coaches, clinics and local businesses that need to be found in Siliguri, across the Northeast and India, and internationally.

    • Custom design system
    • Local + national SEO
    • Lead forms
    • Analytics

A site that converts traffic instead of a brochure PDF.

The five questions a visitor asks
  • 033–6 weeks

    WhatsApp sales desk

Automate the repetitive chats: qualify, confirm COD before dispatch, recover abandoned carts, escalate the real sale to a human.

    • Cloud API setup
    • Qualification flows
    • COD confirm
    • CRM logging

Fewer missed DMs, COD confirmed before dispatch, a pipeline you can measure.

The COD confirmation workflow, step by step
03Before you commit

Two things worth reading before you spend anything.

Neither of these is a pitch. One helps you decide whether a custom build is the right spend at all; the other is what your store has to handle regardless of who builds it.

  • Decide first

“Should I be paying anyone to build this?”

    Shopify, or something custom?

Real INR pricing, the India-specific payments detail that changes the arithmetic, and an honest account of when a hosted platform is the better answer — including when it is the answer I would give you.

  • Get it right early

“What does my store have to be able to do?”

What GST asks of your store software

HSN and SAC, what a compliant tax invoice has to carry, and the fields to insist on before the first order exists — because retrofitting this after a year of orders is the expensive way.

04Expertise

Platform, sites, automation, custom work.

Four capabilities behind the offers: the ecommerce platform I built, conversion websites, WhatsApp sales desks, and custom product engineering when a template is not enough.

  • 01

    AiMonk ecommerce platform

Multi-tenant stores I can deploy for you: hosted storefront, admin, Razorpay, COD, GST invoices, Shiprocket and WhatsApp — owned rather than rented, which changes the economics in ways worth checking against a hosted platform before you decide.

    • Multi-tenant storefronts
    • India payments & COD
    • GST + logistics
    • Headless APIs
  • 02

    Conversion websites

Marketing and personal-brand sites built to rank locally in Siliguri and across the Northeast, nationally in India, and for remote or global search. Fast, accessible, structured for answer engines.

    • SEO for local + India + global
    • Performance budgets
    • Lead capture
    • Design systems
  • 03

    WhatsApp & AI automation

Sales desks that qualify, confirm COD, recover carts and log every chat, on the channel Indian buyers already use.

    • Lead qualification
    • COD confirmation
    • Cart recovery
    • CRM handoff
  • 04

    Custom product engineering

When a brand outgrows a template: headless storefronts, dealer portals, internal tools. Built as production software, not a weekend plugin stack.

    • Discovery to launch
    • APIs & data flow
    • Instrumentation
    • Iteration
05Selected work

The platform, the storefronts, the client sites.

Real work with names on it: AiMonk as commerce infrastructure, WhatsApp as the Indian close, and client builds for a Siliguri service brand, a Himalayan D2C product and an equity research firm.

01Product

AiMonk

Multi-tenant ecommerce platform

Role
Founder & architect
  • Next.js
  • NestJS
  • PostgreSQL RLS
  • Razorpay
  • Shiprocket
Discuss a project like this
aimonk.io
Illustrative interface sketch for the aimonk.io case study.
Problem
Indian D2C and Instagram sellers are stuck between cheap DIY builders and Shopify fees: no GST-native invoicing, weak COD, WhatsApp as an afterthought, and no way for an operator to launch many branded stores from one backend.
Approach
Built the platform instead of reselling someone else’s. Multi-tenant Postgres with row-level security, a Next.js storefront per tenant, India payments and logistics first, WhatsApp retention wired in.
Solution
Hosted storefronts and admin, Razorpay and COD with OTP, GST invoices, Shiprocket and Delhivery, Interakt WhatsApp hooks, visual page builder, Northeast India templates, and a headless API for custom fronts.
Outcome
A deployable commerce stack for Siliguri-to-national D2C: signup to branded store without assembling six vendors. Live marketing at aimonk.io.

Key challenges

  • True tenant isolation at the database, not just a client_id filter in app code
  • COD, UPI and GST as core checkout, not plugins
  • Storefront customisation that operators can use without a developer on every edit

WhatsApp commerce layer

Sales automation on AiMonk

Role
Platform engineer
  • WhatsApp Cloud API
  • Interakt
  • BullMQ
  • Node.js
  • Webhooks
Discuss a project like this
whatsapp commerce layer.app
Illustrative interface sketch for the whatsapp commerce layer.app case study.
Problem
Orders still die in Instagram DMs and screenshot-UPI. Broadcast tools exist; the missing piece is a store + WhatsApp path that logs every order and confirms COD before dispatch.
Approach
Treat WhatsApp as the conversation layer, not the database. Catalogue and checkout live on the store; Interakt (and similar) carry updates, recovery and confirmation.
Solution
Abandoned-cart and order templates, COD confirmation before ship, and a single admin for store plus chat, so the owner is not running a notebook and a Business app.
Outcome
The Instagram-to-order journey becomes a system: discovery on social, money on rails you control, follow-up on WhatsApp.

Key challenges

  • Consent and template policy for Indian WhatsApp Business API
  • COD intent vs prepaid without killing conversion
  • Keeping chat history attached to the order record

manish-sharma.co.in

Conversion marketing site

Role
Design & engineering
  • Nuxt
  • TypeScript
  • JSON-LD
  • Vercel
Discuss a project like this
manish-sharma.co.in
Illustrative interface sketch for the manish-sharma.co.in case study.
Problem
A personal site that only lists technologies does not convert Indian buyers. Freelancer pages race to the bottom on price and have nothing unique to rank for.
Approach
Build the studio site the way a client site should be built: productized offers, INR, local-to-global SEO, and proof of the platform, not a stack dump.
Solution
Custom design system on Nuxt, structured data for Person and ProfessionalService, Siliguri + India + worldwide area served, and offers a business can actually buy.
Outcome
The portfolio is the lead engine: unique because the commerce platform is owned, findable locally and nationally, and aimed at conversion rather than a CV.

Key challenges

  • Saying studio, not freelancer, without sounding like a 40-person agency
  • SEO for Siliguri, India and remote in one page
  • Keeping motion, accessibility and Core Web Vitals on the same site

Puja's Nail Studio

Local service conversion site

Role
Design & engineering
  • Vite
  • Structured data
  • Calendly
  • Google Ads
  • Vercel
Discuss a project like this
pujanails.com
Illustrative interface sketch for the pujanails.com case study.
Problem
A home-service nail studio in Siliguri had no way to be found by the people searching for it. Discovery lived in Instagram and word of mouth, and every booking turned into a manual back and forth before a slot was fixed.
Approach
Treat it as a local search and booking problem rather than a brochure. Structure the services and prices as real content, mark the business up so Google can read it, and put the booking action in front of the customer on every screen.
Solution
A fast site with per service pages and pricing, rich local business and FAQ structured data, WhatsApp and call actions in the hero, a Calendly slot picker, and Google Ads conversion tracking wired to the booking events.
Outcome
Search, ads and social now land on one page that answers the price question and books the slot, instead of turning every enquiry into a conversation.

Key challenges

  • Ranking for home service intent in Siliguri, not generic salon terms
  • Publishing real starting prices without capping the higher value bridal work
  • Keeping booking one tap on mobile, where nearly all the traffic is

O2 Himalaya

D2C Shopify storefront

Role
Storefront & content build
  • Shopify
  • Liquid
  • Dawn theme
  • Razorpay
  • INR checkout
Discuss a project like this
o2himalaya.in
Illustrative interface sketch for the o2himalaya.in case study.
Problem
Portable Himalayan oxygen is an unfamiliar product with a medical claim attached. A plain product page does not sell it, because the buyer has to understand altitude sickness and trust the certification before price matters.
Approach
Build the education and the storefront as one path. Lead with the proof points a cautious buyer checks first, purity, drug licensing and portability, then carry that into the product and pack selection.
Solution
A Shopify build with custom sections for the science and certification story, dedicated learn pages, and multi pack variants from single can to family pack priced in rupees with Indian shipping.
Outcome
The store explains the product and sells it in the same visit, so the brand is not paying to send traffic to a page that leaves the main objection unanswered.

Key challenges

  • Making a medical claim legible without overstating it
  • Multi pack variants that read as value rather than upsell
  • Custom sections on Dawn without losing theme upgradability

EquityLiveResearch

Advisory lead generation site

Role
Design & engineering
  • Next.js
  • TypeScript
  • Market data
  • Vercel
Discuss a project like this
equityliveresearch.vercel.app
Illustrative interface sketch for the equityliveresearch.vercel.app case study.
Problem
Indian equity advisory is crowded with tip sellers, so a research led firm has to signal process and compliance immediately or it reads like every other stock tips page.
Approach
Design for credibility first. Put the method, the risk controls and the disclosures where a sceptical investor looks, and make the consultation the single clear next step.
Solution
A Next.js site with a live market snapshot, four clearly separated service disciplines, client proof, plainly labelled risk disclosure, and consultation booking as the primary action throughout.
Outcome
A site that argues for process over promises, which is the only durable differentiator in a category built on noise.

Key challenges

  • Showing market data without it reading as investment advice
  • Regulatory disclosure that is honest and still legible
  • Building trust for a firm without a long public track record
06AI & Automation

The repetitive middle of a process should not need a human.

Most businesses do not need “an AI”. They need WhatsApp follow-up, COD confirmation, or one workflow to stop eating a person's week. AI is how I build and run those systems fast enough to be worth buying. This is how I take one apart.

  1. 01

    Identify

Find the workflow that is quietly costing the most time.

  2. 02

    Analyse

Map every step, decision and exception as it actually happens.

  3. 03

    Design

Decide what must stay deterministic and where AI adds judgement.

  4. 04

    Automate

Build it, with guardrails, validation and human checkpoints.

  5. 05

    Integrate

Wire it into the systems the business already runs on.

  6. 06

    Optimise

Measure, tune prompts and logic, expand the scope.

A run, end to end

  1. 01queued

    Input

    User, event or data source

A form submission, an inbox, a webhook, a spreadsheet, a support ticket. Wherever the work currently arrives.

  2. 02queued

    AI Processing

    Understand & extract

Language models classify, summarise and extract structure from messy input, with validation on every field.

  3. 03queued

    Decision Engine

    Rules + reasoning

Deterministic rules handle what must be predictable; the model handles judgement. Ambiguity escalates to a human.

  4. 04queued

    Automation

    Do the work

Documents generated, records updated, messages sent, jobs queued. The repetitive middle disappears.

  5. 05queued

    API Integrations

    Systems of record

CRMs, ERPs, commerce platforms, data warehouses and internal services stay in sync, with retries and idempotency.

  6. 06queued

    Business Outcome

    Measured & observable

Every run is logged, traced and measurable, so the workflow can be trusted, tuned and safely expanded.

07Problem solving

Every hard problem gets the same seven passes.

Not a methodology I sell, just the loop I actually run, whether the problem is an architecture decision, a broken deployment or a process nobody has questioned in three years.

Step 1 of 7

Understand

Sit with the problem before proposing anything. Talk to the people doing the work today.

The loop does not end at “ship”. It ends at “measurably better”, then starts again.

08Experience

Where the work has happened.

AiMonk as the commerce product. Studio services from Siliguri for the Northeast, India and remote clients.

  1. Founder

    AiMonk

Building a multi-tenant ecommerce platform for Indian D2C: hosted storefronts, admin, Razorpay, COD, GST, Shiprocket, WhatsApp, and headless APIs, so studio clients launch on infrastructure I own.

    • Tenant isolation with PostgreSQL row-level security
    • India-native checkout: UPI, COD, GST invoices
    • Storefront builder, Northeast templates, partner APIs
  2. Web & Ecommerce Developer

    Independent / Freelance

Client work that became the studio. Conversion sites and D2C storefronts shipped end to end for local service businesses, Indian product brands and advisory firms, each one built around the way that business actually takes an order.

    • Local service SEO and booking flows for a Siliguri home-service brand
    • Shopify storefront and content pages for a Himalayan D2C product
    • Lead-generation site with market data and compliance copy for an equity research firm
09Technical stack

Tools I reach for, and why they stay.

Nothing here is chosen for novelty. Each one earns its place by being predictable under load and pleasant to hand to the next engineer.
